Our studio specialises in Tourism and Hospitality projects with a wide range of projects both constructed and in-development. These projects range in scope, budget and market sector however it is our experience that a unique Architectural design is a critical element to their success. In each case we have worked closely with the client & stakeholder groups to understand the qualities of the site, the client’s tourism proposition and project’s business model to develop an appropriate design.
The experience matrix below provides an overview of some of our relevant projects – most notably Saffire which recently won Best Overall Boutique Hotel in the World at the prestigious World Boutique Hotel Awards 2014 in London.
Peter is a registered Architect and director/ co-founder of Cumulus Studio.
With over 15 years working in Architecture, Peter has been responsible for the design and delivery of a number high profile Tasmanian project – particularly within the tourism sector and in the adaptive reuse of existing buildings. Peter’s extensive experience in these areas includes involvement at the project inception from master-planning and feasibility through to project delivery and post occupancy analysis.
Projects that Peter has been involved in have been awarded not only at a State level, but both nationally and Internationally. In 2011, while director of Circa Morris-Nunn Walker, Peter was invited to the World Architecture Festival, Architecture Awards to present Saffire resort for which he was design & project architect. Saffire has won numerous national and international awards including “Best Overall Boutique Hotel in the World” at the prestigious World Boutique Hotel Awards 2014 in London.
Recent high profile projects Peter has headed up include Pumphouse Point (Hotel), Devil’s Corner Cellar Door and the Cradle Mountain Master Plan.
